Aoki’s was the first to introduce to shave ice to the North Shore of Oahu, decades ago. It closed down for a spell to make room for commercial real estate development on this neck of Kamehameha Highway. Fast forward to today and you’ll find that Aoki’s has returned, better than ever. The ice is softer, finer, and the syrup is poured more plentiful that found with its predecessor. Don’t be tricked by the line-up for world famous Matsumoto’s across the road, stick with Aoki’s if you want quality shave ice over kitschy souvenirs.
