Is it too bold to state the Surfers Coffee is the best coffee shop on the whole island? Is this some predisposed bias towards wave-riding culture? Make a pit stop in Wahiawa on the way to the North Shore and find out for yourself. What you’ll discover, is an extremely spacious yet surprisingly cozy cafe with an expansive menu, sound stage, and museum-worthy surf decor. Surfers Coffee is in an unassuming location on Kamehameha Highway, far from hotels and attractions which means few tourists (at least an absence of the obvious ones) and more local vibes. Better yet, the WiFi actually works (a rarity in “countryside” coffee shops) so the cafe is great for getting work done prior to playtime over in Haleiwa (assuming that’s where you’re headed).
What about the coffee? Their specialty espresso is perfection, especially the cafe mocha – a true gauge of bean quality and barista talents. Their acai bowl also holds its own compared to most others being bowled out on the island, and their pastries make this cafe a hot destination for Wahiawa area resident cheat days.
Yep, we stand by it – best coffee shop on Oahu.
