Simplee Livin’ Coffee

Hip new roadside coffee stop on the North Shore of Oahu

Simplee Livin Coffee North Shore Oahu

There’s a great new pit stop for java in Pupukea along the North Shore and it could not have arrived at a better time. For one, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Foodland always seems to have some sort of a problem with their espresso machine. Seriously, you never know if you can actually get what you came to order. Then there’s the line at The Sunrise Shack at either the Shark’s Cove or Sunset Beach location. It has grown too long due to the hoards of teens who show up to snap photos of Koa and Travis Smith in addition to their Instagrammable super-fruit bowls. Sometimes (always?) you just want a place to get a great cup of espresso and a pastry without the hassle. Enter the aptly named Simplee Livin’.

Parked in front of the Sunset Beach Christian Church lot across from Ke Iki Beach Bungalows, Simplee Livin is a welcome addition to the community. The eye-catching cyan-toned 1966 Ford Econoline draws you off of Kam Highway, where you’ll be greeted by the brother (Dylan) and sister (Morgan) team that own and operate the mobile establishment. Armed with ALOHA and locally-sourced ingredients (including flavored syrups) Simplee Livin’ pours a damn good latte. Their fresh donuts add a delicious crown to your order, and you can also buy an uber-cool t-shirt (designed by Morgan) to take back to the mainland. The menu and hours are expected to grow in the months ahead as more people discover the hidden gem. Show your support and stop by this cafe-bus when you want great espresso and service without the fuss.
